La Cancion

La Cancion is a 2 Players game that reenacts the battle of Roncevaux between Saracens and the Rear guard of Charlemagne's army in 778. However, this little game is by far an historical one, as it uses as main source, a famous chanson de geste written in old french in the 12th century, La Chanson de Roland (Song of Roland). The game is also a wink to my favorite wargame with figure rule : De Bellis Antiquitatis, both in terms of mechanisms (those who know will know) and composition of the armies.
